TRNC Higher Committee for Infectious Diseases updates rules
The TRNC Higher Committee for Infectious Diseases has updated the rules of entry into the country.
According to the latest decisions all persons entering the TRNC via air, sea or through a crossing point will be required as of Monday, November 1 to fill in their Digital Travel Documents and register online.
Arriving passengers will be required to download the Güvende Kal (Stay Safe) app on their mobile devices either through Apple Store or Android Market. These persons will be required to form a digital travel document on the app.
Those who do not have mobile devices are required to create their digital travel by clicking on www.guvendekalkktc.com. These persons will be required to obtain a printed copy of their documents to present to customs upon arrival.
Arriving passengers who will require quarantine depending on which country they arrive from will be required to create a Digital Travel Document through the “Travel Code Applications” section.
Passengers who will be subject to quarantine will be able to create a digital travel document from the electronic wristband section on the condition they provide a residence address in the TRNC.
This procedure will apply to all persons above the age of 12.
Turkish nationals will be able to upload their HES codes and PCR test results on the Digital Travel Documents section.
Arriving passengers will be able to upload their vaccination certificates and PCR test results by scanning QR codes on these documents.
All passengers are required to present these documents in digital or printed form upon arrival.
The requirement to create a Digital Travel Document applies to everyone aged 6 and above.
While children under the age of 12 in quarantine will not be monitored through electronic wristbands, persons travelling to their place of residence will either drive alone or be driven by one designated driver.
Persons who violate these rules will be sent to a state-monitored quarantine facility and will be charged for their accommodation.
All arriving passengers until November 15 will be allowed to enter the TRNC by filling in the TRNC Passenger Entry Form on the adapass.gov.ct.tr website.
