Jealous man assault wife in Gonyeli in another domestic violence case in North Cyprus

A jealous Turkish man who reportedly punched his wife on the cheek will be tried in court for violence.

The man identified only as T.T, committed the act on Sunday, December, 5 in Gonyeli.

According to police statement, the man punched his wife in the cheek on the ground of jealousy during an argument in their home.

During the argument, he took his wife to the bedroom, where he continued to assault her and also choked her.

He was arrested following a complaint and paraded in court on Monday for domestic violence.

The suspect was released on bail and banned from traveling out of the country.

He will report to the police at least once a week, deposited a cash guarantee of 2,000TL and a trustworthy guarantor with a personal bail bond worth 50,000 TL.
