Two civil servants at the TRNC Ministry of Labor and Social Security have landed in hot water for issuing false documents.

They were arrested on Wednesday and serious allegations leveled against them by the police. Police claimed the two officers were linked to "forgery of official documents and Fraudulent record supply crimes".

The suspects identified as M. Ş. E. and C. T. arranged fake documents for 27 people according to the first findings.

After the suspects affixed the seal of the Labor Department to the Permit Extension, Preliminary Permit and Horizontal Transfer Application Forums belonging to the Labor Department, they signed the relevant documents and created a record in the relevant office as a false official document.

Two other suspects were arrested in connection with the crimes of forgery of official documents and fraudulent record supply, revealed by the Financial Crimes Branch, were arrested by the court.

Police said that it was determined that the Social Security and Provident Fund Department did not give any documents of no debt to the persons who did not actually work in the workplaces and were pretended to be working, since the companies and individuals in question had debts to the Social Insurance and Provident Fund during the period when the Work Permit was issued.

Noting that nothing illegal was found in the search made at the residence of suspect 1, the Police said that an article titled Extension Procedures belonging to a company belonging to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security was detected and seized as evidence in the residence of suspect 2.
