Man reports son to the police for battering step son while wife looks on

A man has been detained for battering his 4-year-old step son while the mother looks on.

The suspect named Sare Konya committed the act on the morning of Wednesday, January, 19. The suspect was arrested on the same day after his own father, Cevdet Konya filed a complaint with the police. He was taken to court on Thursday.

Police said the suspect had severely battered the 4-year-old son of his wife Cevdet Konya, from her first marriage, in his residence and his wife did not intervene but recorded the incident.

The mobile phone image were taken for investigation.

Police said that the child will be examined in child psychiatry and they will investigate whether he has been beaten in the past. 

The court ordered the suspects to be detained for one day for more investigation to be carried out on the matter.
