One injured in accident on the Famagusta – Karpaz main road

One person was injured in an accident that happened at the outskirt of Pamuklu village, between kilometers 34-35 on the Famagusta - Karpaz main road.

According to police statement, the accident happened at about 4:00pm on Tuesday as a result of careless driving by the driver of one of the vehicles involved in the accident.

A 64-year old man who is the driver of the red car involved in the accident was heading towards Dipkarpaz from the Famagusta direction of the road when he left his lane and crashed into a mini truck driven by a 38-year-old man coming in the opposite direction.

The 64-year old man was injured as a result of the accident and was taken to Famagusta State Hospital, in an ambulance. 

Following his treatment, fractures in his right wrist and ribs were detected and he was taken under observation.
