Record number 1,001 new cases of coronavirus reported in the TRNC on Thursday

For the third day in a row, the TRNC has reported new record number of cases as a new record number of 1,001 new cases of coronavirus was announced on Thursday, January, 6, 2022, bringing the total number of cases so far to 39,371.

20,882 tests were carried out in the last 24 hours and 1,001 new cases were confirmed.

All the cases were local cases.

Of the cases, 434 were from Lefkosa, 239 from Kyrenia, 242 from Famagusta, 50 from Güzelyurt, 24 from Lefke, and 12 from Iskele.

148 people were discharged from the hospital after completing treatment.
