Bomb scare in Lefkosa after two suspicious suitcases were found close to a garden

There was panic in  Lefkosa on Monday morning when two suspicious suitcases were found close to the garden of Atatürk Cultural Center.

The suitcases were found at about 11:30am between the fences in the garden of Atatürk Cultural Center in Lefkosa. 

The area was quickly placed under security measures.

The TRNC bomb disposal team arrived the scene only to find out that they were suitcases full of clothes.

Police said they are investigating the situation.
