Earthquake hits Cyprus again

An earthquake of magnitude 5.5 hit the island of Cyprus on Wednesday evening.

The earthquake, the second in the space of one month occurred at about 11:03 pm on Wednesday.

According to AFAD, the magnitude of the earthquake was declared as 5.1 and a dept of 58 kilometers west of Paphos, in south Cyprus. Paphos was also recorded as it's epicenter.

The earthquake which caused a lot of panic among residents was strongly felt in Lefke, north Cyprus and Paphos in, south Cyprus.

It was also felt in Adana, Hatay, Mersin and Antalya in Turkey.

According to the European Mediterranean Seismological Center, the earthquake was felt around the Mediterranean.
