Frightening accident on the Kyrenia-Tatlısu road

Two people were were injured, one seriously, in an accident that happened on the Girne - Tatlısu Highway on Sunday morning.

The accident happened at around 8:50am.

Police said a 42-year-old man, while driving from Girne to Tatlısu direction was trying to carelessly make a right turn when he collided with a car driven by a 49-year-old driver, who was driving from Tatlısu towards Girne.

This caused the first vehicle to turn upside down due to the impact of the collision. The driver who got stuck in the vehicle was rescued by firefighters.

He sustained serious injury while the second driver was also slightly inured. 

The men who are both Turkish citizens were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
