Man arrested for raping 15-year-old girl friend, 3 months after

A man who allegedly raped a 15-year-old woman in a filed in November, 2021 has been arrested for rape following a complaint.

The suspect, a Turkish citizen, identified only as H.I.K reportedly raped his 15-year-old girl friend empty field between Paşaköy and Aslanköy at about 10:00pm on November, 1, 2021. He took the victim there in a motorcycle. 

He was arrested in Famagusta on Tuesday, February, 15, following a complaint by the victim. He was taken to a court in Famagusta on charges of "sexual rape of a minor, detention, grave harm, abuse of a child under 16 and violence against women."

Police in it's statement in court said the suspect also raped the victim twice at home in the following days and this was proven by a doctor's report.

The claims were made during an investigation regarding another issue by the victim.

Police said the crime scene would be investigated, photographed and statements will be taken regarding the issue.

The court ordered the suspect to be detained in the police for 2 days.
