Some areas in Famagusta and Lefkosa to be without light and water on Thursday

Electricity will not be supplied to some region in Famagusta on Thursday due to a projected work which will be carried out in the area.

In a statement by the Turkish Cypriot Electricity Authority (Kib-Tek) on Wednesday, electricity will not be available to some regions in Famagusta between the hours of 8.30am to 1:00pm.

This is due to the project work to be carried out in the medium voltage electricity network.

The affected areas are, Mormenekşe, Mormenekşe Ağılllar, Y. Boğaziçi Industrial Site, a part of Y. Boğaziçi village, Mutluyaka, Korkuteli, the aluminum factory in Dörtyol, Muratağa, Sandallar, Atlılar, Alaniçi Agillar.

Also electricity will not be supplied to Yıldırım gate, Agillar and Mormenekşe Water Wells, Daü junction Olar Sitesi, Saklıkent Site and its region.

On the other hand, due to the project work to be carried out on the medium voltage electricity network, between 12:00pm and 4:00pm on Thursday, there will be no electricity in; Yeni Boğaziçi, Halil Hamza Petrol and Leather Factory region, Old Tuzla Village region and Tuzla entrance karting area, Halken Sitesi, Leventler Site, Turan Kaynak Sitesi, Olar Sitesi, Tanyel Estate and Gossipler areas.

In a similar development, water will not be supplied to some areas in Lefkosa.

The Lefkosa Turk Municipality (LTB) announced that water will not be supplied to the Surlariçi region until the water eruption excavation work to be done tomorrow is completed. It was also stated the project was aimed to be completed within a day.

The water eruption excavation work will be carried out at the junction of Kadın Pazarı Street and İplik Pazarı Street will start at 6.30am on Thursday

Water could not be supplied to the Surlariçi region due to the work, and it was noted that the work was aimed to be completed during the day and the water flow to be opened within the same day.
