TRNC Higher Committee for Infectious Disease announces new measures

The TRNC Higher Committee for Infectious Disease has announced new measures and decisions. 

Fully vaccinated people will now be able to enter the TRNC without the need for a PCR or antigen test and quarantine while unvaccinated people will be required to submit a negative PCR or antigen test done within 72 hours of travel.

Accordingly, people aged 18 and over, who have passed 14 days and 270 days (9 months) after taking the second dose of vaccine (single dose for Johnson) will be considered fully vaccinated and will be able to enter the country without showing a PCR/antigen test. 

The new measures will come into force as from March, 1.. 

People who have had the virus and have stayed at least 10 days after contracting the virus but not exceed 180 days, will be able to enter the country without showing a PCR/antigen test. 

Also, unvaccinated people will be able to enter the country with a negative PCR done in the last 72 hours and negative antigen done in the last 24 hours. They will also repeat their PCR tests within 72-120 hours of their entry into the country.

Decisions on country entering rules is as follows;
Vaccinated or positive;
-Provide pre-trip Negative PCR done in the last 72 hours or a negative Antigen result done in the last 24 hours.
-No quarantine

UNVACCINED;
-Provide pre-trip Negative PCR done in the last 72 hours or a negative Antigen result done in the last 24 hours.
-Will quarantine for 5 days
-PCR test will be done after quarantine ends

B) GENERAL RULES;

Vaccinated Person
Must have completed the vaccination program with 2 Doses of the following vaccines and 14 days after the 1st dose of COVID-19 Vaccine Janssen / Johnson and Johnson.

    SINOVAC: 2 DOSES
    BIONTECH: 2 DOSES
    SINOPHARM: 2 DOSES
    COMIRNATY (Pfizer/Biontech): 2 DOSES
    VAXZEVRIA (Astrazeneca/Oxford): 2 DOSES
    COVID-19 Vaccine Janssen / Johnson and Johnson: 1 DOSAGE
    SPUNIK V: 2 DOSES
    MODERNA: 2 DOSES
    NOVAVAX: 2 DOSES
    COVISHIED (Astrazeneca/Oxford): 2 DOSES
    COVAXIN: 2 DOSES
    CANSINOBIO: 2 DOSES

If anyone receive two different doses of the vaccines mentioned above, they will also be considered as vaccinated

Persons who have had Covid-19 disease and have received 1 dose of vaccine will be considered as vaccinated.  

Person who has had the disease and submit a positive PCR test result up to 180 days before travel, will be considered as vaccinated persons.

Children under the age of 18 will be able to enter the country in accordance with the PCR test rules (children over 6 years old) according to the country category they came from with their parents who have been vaccinated and have had the disease in the above definition.

Passengers will be evaluated according to the country in the highest risk group among the countries they have set foot/ been in in the last 10 days.

C) RULES OF ENTRANCE TO THE COUNTRY FROM March, 1, 2022
- People who have passed 14 days and 270 days (9 months) after the second dose of vaccine (single dose for Johnson) will be considered fully vaccinated and will be able to enter the country without showing a PCR/antigen test.

- Persons 270 days (9 months) past their second dose (single dose for Johnson) will be able to enter the country without showing a PCR/antigen test if they have had reminder doses.

-People who have had the disease at least 10 days after the positive PCR test but not 180 days will be able to enter the country without showing a PCR/antigen test.   

Everyone who will come to the country from outside the island must create a Digital Travel Document from the Stay Safe Application or the TRNC entry form section of the website www.guvendekalkktc.com within the last 72 hours before the trip .

To create the digital travel document:
-Those who have a smart device are required to download the Stay Safe application from the Apple Store or Android Market to their smart devices and create the Digital Travel Document from the "TRNC Entry Form" step in the application.

-Those who do not have a smart device are required to fill out the Digital Travel Document at www.guvendekalkktc.com. They will have the completed form with them digitally or as a printout.

According to the country entry rules,  people who need to go into quarantine must create the Digital Travel Document from the "Wristband Transactions" step in the Stay Safe application. Persons under the age of 12 are not included in this coverage.

Those who do not need to be in quarantine  must create a Digital Travel Document from the "TRNC Entry Form" step in the Stay Safe application. Persons between the ages of 6-12 should also create the Digital Travel Document from this section.

Persons who will enter the quarantine will go to their promised residence addresses, either alone or accompanied by a driver, with their own vehicles. Persons who do not comply with the quarantine rules at their residence addresses will be sent to the central quarantine, and people will pay the quarantine fees themselves. Wristbands cannot be worn for persons under the age of 12 for quarantine purposes.

When creating a digital travel document, people who will enter the country must record their vaccination documents and negative PCR results valid for the last 72 hours before the trip by using their device's cameras, by scanning the QR on the vaccination documents and PCR test results with the QR reader in the application.

Passengers who do not fill in the "TRNC Entry Form" through the Stay Safe application or  the www.guvendekalkktc.com website and do not create a Digital Travel Document QR code will not be able to enter the TRNC.

Within the digital travel document, citizens of the Republic of Turkey can automatically upload their digital vaccination documents and PCR test results into the form by entering their HES codes.
