TRNC ready to evacuate its single student in Ukraine in a war should start

If a war should break out between Ukraine and Russia, a Turkish Cypriot student studying medicine in Ukraine will be moved to Poland.

This was mentioned in a statement by the TRNC Minister of National Education, Nazım Çavuşoğlu on Wednesday. 

Çavuşoğlu stated that there is a TRNC student studying medicine in Ukraine, which is experiencing a crisis with Russia; announcing that in case of war, the student would move to Poland.

Çavuşoğlu, said that they contacted the student, who continues his medical specialization education in Ukraine, through his family, that the student is currently waiting at the Polish border in order not to be a victim in case of a possible war, and will go to this country.

Noting that they are constantly following the developments, Çavuşoğlu stated that if there is no war, there will be no problem in the education of this student, if there is a war, they will meet with the authorities of the Republic of Turkey, and that they will support this student to receive his medical specialization in Turkey, as they do in all other matters.

Minister Çavuşoğlu also noted that the TRNC student in Ukraine was in contact with the officials of the Turkish Embassy in Ukraine.
