Turkish Cypriot business man and driver killed in an armed attack in Girne

A Turkish Cypriot business man and his driver were killed in an armed attack on Tuesday evening in Girne.

Halil Falyalı, the owner of Les Ambassadeurs Hotel and Casino and his driver were attacked by unknown gun man (men) on Tuesday evening in Girne. His driver died on the spot while Halil Falyalı was seriously injured.

Sources close to the police said the attack took place in front of his house and family.

He was rushed to the Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital and then to NEU Hospital. 

According to report by Havadis, he later passed away due to his injuries. His death has not been confirmed by any authorities.

The police are yet to comment on the incident as no arrest have been made.
