Court sentence student to 3 and a half month in prison for fake PCR result
A foreigner who was tried for falsifying his PCR test and putting it into use has been sentenced to three and a half months in prison, by a court in Lefkosa.
The verdict was delivered on Sunday, March, 13.
The accused committed the crime few months ago and was taken to court on charges of “creating and putting into use a false official documents.”
The court judge delivering his judgement, said the crime for which the accused was convicted was one of the crimes that harm the public and come with a prison sentence of up to 10 years.
Soytaç underlined that the accused falsified the PCR test and that they evaluated the threat of falsifying the COVID-19 test to public health noting that covid-19 has been effective in the country for a long time and continues to threaten human health despite the measures taken.
Soytaç mentioned all the issues in favor and against the accused and announced that he was sentenced to 3 and a half months in prison.
