Crotch of Cristiano Ronaldo's statue continues to wear away due to his fans constantly rubbing it in Funchal Portugal

The crotch area of Manchester united superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo's statue in Funchal, Portugal is continuing to wear away after being rubbed so much by fans.

The bronze statue, more than two metres tall and weighing more than 800 kilograms, was unveiled at the Pestana CR7 in 2019, and tourists attracted to the statue have made rubbing the crotch area a tradition.

According to Marca, the crotch area of the statue has become even more of a focal point for photos and selfies, with fans eager to touch it as they pose for photos on their holidays.

That crotch area, which stands out in the statue has been rubbed so much that, that part of the bronze statue is now polished and shiny.
