Police release data on the fight against drugs

The TRNC Narcotics and Smuggling Prevention Directorate of the Police General Directorate has shared the data on the fight against drugs between January 1 and March 27.

According to a statement made by the directorate, a total of 15 kg, 508 gr, 954 mg drugs were seized and 70 people were identified as suspects as a result of 85 operations carried out during the given period.

The details of the drugs seized as a result of the operations were explained as follows:

“7 kg 468.5 g cannabis, 2 kg 933.8 g crude opium, 2 kg 8.2 g methamphetamine, 389 g 878 mg bonsai, 683 g 40 mg heroin, 1 kg 93.3 g cocaine, 51.1 g mdma, 257.5 extacy.”

In the statement, it was noted that the Directorate could be reached via the 03922287549 and ALO 156 narcotic hotline.
