TRNC plan to bring 62 Ukrainian citizens to the country

Due to the ongoing war in Ukraine, the TRNC is planning on transferring 62 Ukrainian citizens to the country.

In a statement to  local media, YENİDÜZEN, Director of Social Services Department, Hüseyin Akcan stated that such a request has been made, but that the investigations are ongoing and there is no clear situation at the moment.

He noted that a social media post which stated that "62 children are coming" to the TRNC caused information pollution and a campaign was started accordingly.

Akcan noted that the Ministry of Interior would make an official statement if the issue was finalized.
