Turkish Cypriot police warn of fake US$4,000 banknotes in crculation

Turkish Cypriot police have warned that US$4,000 in counterfeit banknotes have been put into circulation by a casino visitor in Kyrenia.

The police have published the serial numbers of a total of 4,000 US dollars, which are in denominations of 50 and 100 US dollar banknotes.

The public are warned to pay special attention to any US dollar banknotes they may have in their possession and to report any suspicious finds to their nearest police station.

The police on Monday aid a person in a casino operating in Kyrenia began to circulate the fake US Dollars in his possession.
