Two people caught with 1 kilogram of cocaine worth 3 million TL in market value in North Cyprus

In the 'White Wolf Operation' carried out by the police in Minareliköy on Tuesday, a substance believed to be a cocaine type drug weighing 1 kilo was found and seized.

The teams affiliated to the Narcotics and Smuggling Prevention Directorate organized a 'White Wolf Operation' in Minareliköy at about 9:30pm on Tuesday and seized a substance believed to be a cocaine type drug weighing 1 kilogram. 

Two peoples, a 30-year-old man, a Nigerian and a 24-year-old man identified with the initial A.H, a Turkish, who are believed to be related to the incident, were arrested. 

They were paraded in court on Wednesday.

Police said the suspects were detected while parked in a site. When the police approached them for checks, one of the suspects fled with a shoulder bag, the driver of the vehicle was held. The first suspect was later identified in the area and arrested. 

On Wednesday, he took the police to a place where he had hidden the bag under a tree and handed the substance believed to be a cocaine type drug, weighing approximately 1 Kilogram worth 3 million Turkish Lira, to the police.

Police said the substance were brought from the south of Cyprus for 1000 Euros and was to be delivered to two persons who are currently being wanted by the police. 

The Nigerian was accused of violating a military forbidden area and for importing a band substance. The other Turkish suspect, was accused of forming a secret alliance with a wanted person in exchange for 30 Euros.
