3 university school girls detained for stealing from two shops in Famagusta.

Three university school girls has been given a 3-day detention order for allegedly stealing from two shops they visited as customers in Famagusta. 

The three girls, aged, 20, 19 and 18 committed the alleged crime on April, 11, in Famagusta.

They were arrested on Monday and taken to a court in Famagusta.

Police said they stole various items from two shops they visited as customers on the said day.

Police said the suspects who are foreign students in the country entered a business premises named Trend Center where they stole a piece of women's top clothing, known as a black bustier.

They also entered another store called Potente, operating on İsmet İnönü Boulevard, and left the place after stealing 2 black bags, 1 beaded tattoo, 8 men's wallets, 2 key chains, 2 sleeping bands and 2 natural stone rosaries.    

Police said they identified and arrested following a complaint by the shop owners after camera recordings were examined.

Police said they searched the suspects' residence three times in the light of the search warrant obtained from the court. 

Police said one of the suspects voluntarily admitted to her guilt.
