Cost of living TRNC goes up in March by overt 13%
The cost of living has gone up by 13.5 per cent in March, according to the latest figures released by the Statistics Institution on Tuesday.
According to the Price Consumer Index (PCI), annual inflation stands at 83.19 per cent.
The highest increase in prices recorded in March was in electricity bills with a 229.18 per cent rise.
Other significant price hikes were recorded in housing as well as utilities such as gas.
While the average price of 599 goods and services went up compared to the previous month, a drop in prices were recorded for 64 goods and services.
