Man steals laptop from a house he was a guest in in Hamitkoy

A suspect identified only as A.K will face trial for stealing a laptop from a house he went to as a guest in Hamitköy.

The incident happened between the hours of 9:30am to 7:00pm on Wednesday, March, 30 in Hamitköy.

The suspect, an international student was arrested on Saturday on pending warrant and taken to court on charges of theft and fraud money making crimes.

Police said the suspect took away a HP laptop which was left on the kitchen table by his host.

The suspect then went ahead to sell the stolen laptop to a workplace called Laptop Hospital in Lefkosa for 250 dollars. 

Police said investigation into the matter has just begun and that there are statements to be taken and camera footage that needs to be examined.

The suspect was ordered to be detained for 3 days for investigation purposes.
