The TRNC Higher Committee updates Covid-19 rules and measures
The TRNC Higher Committee for Infectious Diseases has updated its Covid-19 rules and measures.
According to the latest changes, persons with Covid-19 symptoms will first be required to undergo a rapid test only to carry out a follow-up PCR test if the result is positive.
An individual who tests negative in his/her rapid test but who still displays symptoms will be able to carry out a PCR test upon instructions from a doctor.
The isolation period for persons who test positive for Covid-19 is now ten days. Persons, should they wish, can carry out a PCR test between the 7th and 10th day, and end their isolation should they test negative.
Individuals working at schools/education centres, care homes or at the state prison can only end their isolation period with a negative PCR test result between the 7th and 10th day of their isolation.
Persons working at schools will be required to carry out a PCR test should they display any Covid-19 symptoms.
