Man sexually assaults stepdaughter in Ozanköy, north Cyprus

An elderly man who sexually assaulted his stepdaughter in Ozanköy, Girne, north Cyprus will be tried in court. 

The person identified only as A.R.Y committed the abominable act severally between the month of April and May, 2022 when he assaulted his 27-year-old step daughter.

The suspect was identified and arrested with a pending court order in Girne on Wednesday, May, 4 and taken to a court on the same day.

Police said the news of the incident emerged after the the brother and sister of the victim made a complaint to the police. The victim was living with the suspect.

Police said it will take statements and review camera images to ascertain the true nature of the incident.

The suspect was ordered to remain in prison for a period of 3 days pending investigation.
