METU students stage another protest against hike in school fees and services

Student of ODTÜ, (Middle East Technical University, METU) has staged a second protest against the hike in fees and services. 

The students who last week staged a protest, on Wednesday staged another protest, complaining that they are not able to pay their school fees, transportation, house rents or dormitory rents.

Some of them carried banners that read: “Student is here, where is YÖK”, “METU hands off our pockets”, “When we say love green, we didn't mean $”.

After the first protest, the students, who were worried that there was no solution to their problems, prepared a petition containing their demands and sent it to the rectorate, saying "our struggle will continue".
