Egyptian man stabs Greek Cypriot man who attacked him indecently

A 41-year-old Egyptian man living in south Cyprus has stabbed a 48-year-old Greek Cypriot man who tried to attack him indecently inside his car.

The incident happened in the village of Ypsonas, in south Cyprus on Sunday this week. He was arrested on Monday.

According to report, the suspect said, he had met the 48-year-old man four years ago, when he offered him a job. He then asked to have intercourse with him but the suspect refused. 

According to the suspect, he had not heard from the Greek Cypriot man for four years but suddenly on Sunday, he called him to meet. The suspect agreed and after meeting he got into the Greek Cypriot man’s car. The man drove to an empty field, where according to the suspect, he attacked him indecently. So, the suspect grabbed a knife he found in the car and injured the older man.

The Greek Cypriot man gave other reasons for the presence of the suspect in his car.

The suspect was remanded in custody for eight days.
