Garbage truck overturned in Çatalköy, 1 injured

One person was injured when a garbage truck that was unable to turn a corner overturned.

The incident happened at around 9:30am on Thursday in Çatalköy.

According to a police statement, the truck driven by a 28-year-old man was heading towards the south of the road between 0-1 kilometers on the Kyrenia-Tatlısu main road when it overturned at the right side of the road as the driver tried to enter a sloping bend.

Police said he lost control of the of the truck due to his carelessness.

The driver was slightly injured in the accident.
