Three different accidents in one night
Three different accidents were recorded in one night across the TRNC.
Police in its report on Sunday said from midnight until the early hours of Sunday morning, three separate traffic accidents happened Lefkosia, Famagusta and Güzelyurt regions leaving four people, three vehicles and a passenger injured. Two of the drivers were excessively drunk.
One of the injured driver was discharged after his treatment at the hospital, while the other two vehicle drivers and a passenger in the vehicle were been observed in the hospital after their treatment.
The first accident happened on Bedrettin Demirel street at around 12:20am when a 22-year-old driver hit a lighting pole.
He
lost control of the vehicle as a result of his carelessness and went
over the middle refuge, hit the curbstones and then the lighting pole.
Police said he was under the influence of alcohol while driving.
He was discharged after his treatment at Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital.
The second accident happened at around 2:50am when a 24-year-old driver with a passenger in the vehicle had an accident on Cahit Sıtkı Tarancı Street in Famagusta.
The driver was driving under the influence of alcohol when lost control of the vehicle due to carelessness. He crashed his car into a car parked on the left side of the road.
The driver and a passenger, 32 who were injured as a result of the accident were observed after their treatment at the Famagusta State Hospital.
The third accident happened at about 3:30am on the Güzelyurt-Yayla Highway.
Police said a 23-year-old man lost control of the vehicle as a result of carelessness and left the road. The vehicle rolled over to the left after hitting a one meter deep empty field on the side of the road. The driver of the vehicle injured as a result of the accident was taken to the Lrfkosia Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital.
