Greek Cypriot arrest two Indians who sold heroin in public toilets in Limassol

Greek Cypriot drug squad in Limassol, south Cyprus has arrested two men from India after getting hold of information that hard drugs were being sold provocatively in the coastal city’s centre.

The two young men were selling heroin in public toilets on Heroes Square in the heart of the coastal city, Philenews reported on Monday.

Initially, police officers had arrested a 23-year-old man whose behavior and movements led to the suspicion that he was on drugs. They had found in his possession two used syringes with traces of heroin.

The police then entered the city’s public toilets, where they found the two Indian nationals aged 29 and 24, respectively.

In their possession were a total of 15 packages containing heroin and weighing 17 grams as well as a precision scale with traces of heroin.

The two men allegedly confessed the packages were theirs but that the heroin was meant for their own use.

However, investigations indicate they are members of a ring operating in Limassol selling quantities of white death to numerous users.
