Nigerian injured in work accident after falling from a high place

A Nigerian was injured in a work accident after falling from a high place to the ground.

Kenneth Uchenna Okereafor, 38, who works in a construction company in Edremit reportedly fell from a height of 8 meters in an incident that happened at around 8:30am on Thursday.

He was injured in the accident and taken to the Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Lefkosa for treatment where he was taken under observation in the Orthopedic Service.

A fracture was detected in the left ankle and waist. 

Police in its report said he lost his balance and fell from a height of about 8 meters to the ground while he was working on ironwork in a building under construction.

Police investigation into the incident continues.
