Beware of fake sites for car payments, Transport ministry warns public

The TRNC Ministry of Public Works and Transport has issued a warning to the public to be careful,  about fake websites purporting to accept Road Tax and Vehicle Inspection fees online, that are not the Ministry of Public Works and Transport’s own official website.

The transport ministry emphasized that there is only one genuine website and to ignore all others.

The genuine website where fees can be paid by credit card is via: bub.gov.ct.tr

It pointed out that the sites that accept navigation and inspection fees other than the official website of the state were created by fraudsters.

It said the site address e-odmem.com/kktc-seyrusefer-online-odeme/ for payments on the Internet is one of the sites established for fraudulent purposes, and the ministry has taken action to prevent access to the site in question
