Police inspection carried out across North Cyprus on Saturday night

Several people were banned from entering casinos, banned from driving and legal actions taken against them following a simultaneous inspection by the police across the TRNC on Saturday.

According to police report, the security and traffic inspections were carried out between the hours of 10:00pm on Saturday to 2:00am on Sunday simultaneously in Famagusta, Girne, Güzelyut and İskele.

In Famagusta; Cafes, bars, restaurants, markets, nightclubs and places where people are concentrated in the region were checked, but no negativity was detected.

In the inspections carried out in the casinos, a total of 5 people who were forbidden to enter and stay in the casino were identified and legal action was taken against them.

As a result of the inspections carried out by the traffic teams, a total of 938 vehicle drivers were checked and a total of 195 vehicle drivers were reported for various crimes, including 1 driving under the influence of alcohol, and legal action was initiated against them and 2 vehicles were banned from traffic.

In Kyrenia; The coffeehouses, hostels and places where the people are concentrated in the region were checked, but no negativity was detected.

In inspections carried out in the casinos, a total of 42 people who were forbidden to enter and stay in the casino were identified and legal action was taken against them.

As a result of the inspections carried out by the traffic teams, a total of 1237 vehicle drivers were checked and a total of 328 vehicle drivers were reported for various crimes, 9 of which were driving under the influence of alcohol, and legal action was initiated against them and 19 vehicles were banned from traffic.

In Güzelyurt; Betting houses operating in the region, places where alcoholic beverages are sold, coffee houses and places where people are concentrated were checked, but no adverse events were detected.

A total of 1000 vehicle drivers were checked and a total of 279 vehicle drivers were reported for various crimes, 2 of which were driving under the influence of alcohol, and legal action was initiated against them and 17 vehicles were banned from traffic.

In Iskele; entertainment venues operating in the region and the places where the public is concentrated were checked, but no adverse events were detected.

In the inspections carried out in the casinos, a total of 6 people who were forbidden to enter and stay in the casino were identified and legal action was taken against them.

A total of 315 vehicle drivers were checked and a total of 99 vehicle drivers were reported for various crimes, 3 of which were driving under the influence of alcohol, and legal action was initiated against them.
