15-year-old hit by a vehicle while crossing the road in Lefkosa

A 15-year-old teenager was hit by a vehicle in front of a School in Lefkosa on Wednesday morning.

The incident happened in front of Sedat Simavi Industrial Vocational High School, on Journalist Kemal Âşık Caddesi in Lefkosa at around 10:30am on Wednesday.

15-year-old Sultan Hatice Cengiz, was hit while truing to cross the road in front of the school.

Police said Mihriz Tüncer, 28 was driving carelessly when she hit the student.

The vicitm who was injured as a result of the accident was taken to the Pediatric Intensive Care Service at the Lefkosia State Hospital.

The police investigation into the incident continues.
