56 accidents, 1 death, 15 injured in the last one week

One person died and 15 people were injured in 56 traffic accidents that took place in the TRNC in the last one week.

According to the weekly traffic report of the Police Press Office covering the dates of March 20-26, the causes of traffic accidents are; speeding (17), careless driving (12), not stopping at the intersection (8), close following (9) and other factors.

While 2 million 115,500 TL damage occurred in the total of the accidents, the distribution of the accidents to the districts; Lefcosia 13, Famagusta 15, Kyrenia 19, Güzelyurt 7 and Pier 2

On the other hand, in the same period, 1,41 out of 9,399 vehicle drivers were fined during routine traffic controls across the country.

While speeding with 300 took the first place in crimes, it was followed by driving without a license for navigation (134) and not obeying traffic signs and signs (116).
