Man caught after changing the date on a fine report in Iskele

He was given a fine to pay for traffic offense but couldn't pay it as at when due. When he finally decided to pay the fine, he changed the date on the fine to avoid being given a double fine. Unfortunately, this landed him in more trouble.

A 39-year-old man has been arrested by the police in Iskele for altering the date on a traffic fine report. 

The suspect identified only as EO, was fined by the police for a traffic crime he committed on March, 4.

By the time he went to pay the fine, he changed the date on the report in order to prevent the penalty from being doubled. This was noticed by the police officer in charge, leading to his arrest on Wednesday, March, 22.

Police said the suspect forged the official document by changing the date on the report, which was written in two places on the fixed traffic fine notice.

The police investigation into the incident continues.
