The weekend will be rainy with thunderstorms and dust in the air

The last weekend of March is expected to be rainy with thunderstorms and dust in the air, according to the Meteorological Service.

From early in the afternoon on Saturday, local showers and isolated thunderstorms are on the forecast while hail is also likely to fall.

The temperature is not expected to record a notable change and will remain slightly above the average climatic levels.

The weather is expected to clear up on Monday, but again the temperature is not expected to record any significant change.

On Friday, the weather will be mostly sunny with possible isolated local showers.

The winds will be variable, easterly to north-easterly, moderate to strong, force 3 to 4 Beaufort.

And the sea smooth to slight.

The temperature will rise to 22 C inland, 21 C to 22 C in coastal areas and 14 C in the mountains.
