Three people arrested in Girne for causing the death of their friend

Turkish Cypriot police has arrested three people in Kyrenia over the death of their friend while trying to get him out of their apartment.

The unfortunate incident happened at around 7:00pm on Monday, May, 22 in Kyrenia.

Police said Emin Orucov, 27, suddenly fell ill and called his friends living in the same apartment for help.

The suspects RA, 21 and BK, 30 who lives in the same apartment in an attempt to help him out of the apartment, dropped him on the stairs way while trying to get him down from the stairs which made him hit his head on the stairs. He was seriously injured in the process.

Orucov was taken to the Girne hospital but could not be saved and died despite all interventions made.

RA, BK and JM were arrested over the incident for negligence.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
