145 year-old-man from Indonesia discovered as world’s oldest person

Indonesia: A 145-year-old man Mbah Gotho from Indonesia is believed to be the world’s oldest man meaning that he would dethrone the current record holder, Jeanne Calment, who lived to 122 years.

Experts claimed they uncovered documents that indicated that Mbah Gotho was born on 31 December 1870, 31 years before the death of Queen Victoria of England.

Mbah Gotho who now has grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren as living offspring has outlived his four wives and all 10 of his children.

According to reports. Gotho said that he had been able to live this long because he had been ‘patient’, but wouldn’t want to live any longer.

His grandchildren said Gotho spends most part of his days listening to the radio because his eyesight is too poor to watch TV.

Gotho had been spoon-fed and bathe for the last three months.

With confirmations from an official at the Indonesian records office that Gotho was born on December 31 1870, yet it has not been independently verified.

Gotho will join other world's oldest persons such as 171-year-old James Olofintuyi from Nigeria and 163-year-old Dhaqabo Ebba from Ethopia on an unverified list of the world’s oldest people if he died without the verification.
