Donald Trump's victory sparks protests across the US with chants of 'Not our president'

Protest has broken out in several cities across the US following Donald Trump's victory at the just concluded presidential poll on Wednesday.
Hundreds of people from Pennsylvania, California, Oregon and Washington storm the streets early on Wednesday to voice their discontent over Trump's victory at the polls.

Police said at least 500 people thronged the streets in and around UCLA, with some shouting anti-Trump swear words while others were chanting "Not my president!."

According to reports, smaller demonstrations were held at University of California campuses and neighbourhoods in Berkeley, Irvine and Davis and at San Jose State.

Also, more than 100 protesters took to downtown streets in Oakland.

According to a report by KNTV-TV, protesters reportedly burned Trump effigy, smashed windows of the Oakland Tribune newsroom and set tires and trash on fire.

Dozens of people in Oregon blocked traffic in downtown Portland, causing a delay for trains on two light rail lines. While some of the anti-Trump protesters burned US flags and chanted "That's not my president".

Several media reports say the crowd increased to about 300 people, including some who sat in the middle of the road to block traffic.

Also in Seattle, a group of about 100 protesters gathered in the Capital Hill neighbourhood, blocked roads and set a trash bin on fire.

In Pennsylvania, hundreds of University of Pittsburgh students marched through the streets.
