Two students sent to prison for one month for stealing perfumes worth 100TL in a pharmacy

Two students studying in Girne have been sent to prison for one month by a Girne court for stealing perfumes worth 100TL in a pharmacy in Karaoğlanoğlu, Girne.

The two students identified as Abdallah Malik and Faisal Mohamad who could not fulfill their bail condition prior to their trial, were sent to the Central Prison for a period of 1 month as unconstitutional prisoners.

The suspects is said to have gone to a pharmacy to buy a drug named 'Zanax' and stole four perfumes worth 100TL while leaving the pharmacy when they could not get the medicine they requested because they did not have prescriptions.

They were identified from camera images and were arrested on the same day following a complaint by the operator.  

They were on Friday charged to court where they voluntarily gave testimony.
 
At the completion of investigation, police prosecutor, Şengil prayed the court to grant the suspects an appropriate bail condition which they failed to meet and were sent to prison for one month until their trial.
