Building collapses in Lefkosa wall street

A building belonging to the Vakifs foundations, rented and renovated by the Girne American University has collapsed in the Lefkosa's historic Wall Street on Thursday morning. 

The building, which is said to have been weakened by rain, collapsed with a loud noise on Thursday morning causing panic among residents of the area, but no one was was injured in the incident. 
 
Those who witnessed the collapse of the building said the building had collapsed ten minutes after three Pakistani working in the building had lifted shelves out of the building. 
 
One person is said to have been affected by dust after the collapse and taken to the hospital for treatment.

The Lefkosa municipal team has begun work to remove the debris.

According to report, GAU was renovating this building as a hospital and a cafe.
