Sports Corner: January transfer window rumours

With Philippe Coutihno‘s $I45m transfer from Liverpool to Barcelona, this year’s January transfer window is sure going to be an exciting one. 

The January transfer window is usually an exciting window were some tricky transfers are made and one of the major transfer coup of 20I8 is the impending transfer of Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez. The prolific forward has light up the English Premier League with goals since he arrived from Barcelona FC.  With both Manchester clubs toasting for his signature it will be hard to see any other team from England getting this prolific forward.

But what I don’t get is hearing that Chelsea intend to bid for English forward Andy Carroll, with a misfiring star forward in Alvaro Morata and an untrusted assistant in Mushy Batsuayi one would have expected Chelsea football club to line up an enterprising forward like Borrussia Dortmund striker Pierre Ambameyang who seem unsettle in Germany, so why choose an Andy Carroll who is barely fit and unproven in England and Europe?.

Arsenal FC seem to be going the right path if they can pull through the intended rumor transfer been speculated. With Alexis bound on leaving, if Arsene Wenger can push through with having Manchester United to swap for Henrik Mkhiteran in the impending transfer of Alexis to Manchester United and their reported target of Pierre Ambameyang and his replacement and Bordeaux ‘s Brazilian forward Malcolm then arsenal would be doing an amazing January business.

Also, Rafinha could be on his way to inter Milan from Barcelona. The versatile Brazilian could soon join fellow Brazilian and former Chelsea midfielder Ramirez in the Italian capital.
