Photo of boy and woman football player with limb differences goes viral! (pic)

Orlando Pride defender Carson Pickett was born without a left forearm and hand, a disability that hasn’t stopped her from forging a respected career in football.

The 25-year-old has not only established herself as one of the best full-backs in the National Women’s Soccer League, but the Florida State graduate has inspired a generation through her success.

I have the ability to impact a lot of people, Pickett told The Guardian last year. My parents tell me all the time to use the platform God gave me. I can use my arm for something greater than myself. I’m able to impact so many kids and people who may not see a way out.
It doesn’t have to impact them through soccer. To see that I am succeeding in life and happy in life can go a long way for some people.

Pickett has been able to inspire one kid in particular recently, a two-year-old kid called Joseph Tidd.

The pair met back in April following Orlando Pride’s league game against Portland Thorns, where the normally shy youngster couldn’t stop smiling.

The 25-year-old pointed to her arm and said:

We have the same arm!

It was a really powerful moment.

He kind of sees those who look like him and I think he relates to them, Joseph’s father Miles said.

Months later, Tidd and Carson were reunited again when she spotted the youngster in the stands after Sunday afternoon’s win against Sky Blue FC.

It was a moment that soon went viral.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a contender for picture of the year.
