Man who came to report an issue to the police arrested for being drunk

Like it was once said, you can be arrested for anything in north Cyprus... for anything, you know. A man who went to a police station in Lefkosa to complain about an issue was arrested for being drunk and unruly.

The man identified only as E.U and was under the influence of alcohol went to the Lefkosa
Police Department, on Sunday, August, 18 to report an issue but instead he began shouting and  acting inappropriately which led to his arrest. 


He was then taken to a court in Lefkosa.

Police prosecutor told the court that the accused who had no resident permit in the country came to the police department drunk, causing discomfort and acting inappropriately which are all acts of crime.

Police accused him of shouting out load and causing disturbance with his hands without a reasonable excuse.

Further investigation showed that he was drunk with about 133% promil ethyl alcohol in the breathing room.

He was detained for two days for more investigation to be carried out on the matter.
