North Cyprus will demand for direct flights at international courts - TRNC Prime Minister
All obstacles over the
freedom of travel of Turkish Cypriots should be lifted and direct
flights to the TRNC should begin, said TRNC Prime Minister, Ersin Tatar.
Tatar made the remark on Friday while addressing a ceremony at the Ministry of Economy and Energy for the
ministry’s ‘2035 Vision’ project which aims for the TRNC to follow a
plan for economic development.
Tatar stated that, in the event of any solution found in Cyprus, “the Turkish Cypriot people must be accepted as a separate state, separate administration and separate existence”.
He said the Turkish Cypriot people had great potential but were kept isolated from the rest of the world due to the embargoes.
Noting that the freedoms of the Turkish Cypriots have been violated for the last 45 years, he said:
