Student to be tried for assaulting his ex girlfriend in Lefkosa
A student in the island has been arrested and detained for beating his ex girlfriend in Lefkosa.
The accused identified as Köylü was arrested on Tuesday and taken to a court in Lefkosa for assault.
Police prosecutor told the court that the accused who is a student in the country committed the crime on Monday and refused to leave the house after the incident.
The court judge released the accused on bail with the sum of 5,000 TL and a guarantor who is a TRNC citizen and worth 20,000 TL.
He was prohibited from going abroad, and report to the nearest police station once every week.
