42 year old man jailed in south Cyprus for four years for possessing child porn
A south Cyprus Criminal Court in Lananca on Tuesday sentenced, a 42 year old man to jail for four years after finding him guilty of possessing child porn.
The man was arrested in July last year after police were tipped off by Europol that someone had used three different social media accounts to upload videos and photographs with child porn.
He was tracked down by the cyber crime squad and his house in the Larnaca district was searched.
Police arrested him on July 7 and took his mobile phone and tablet for forensic tests. He was found to be the owner of the three social media accounts and the case went to court.
