Demand for mask and disinfectant skyrocket in North Cyprus

Following the detection of the first coronavirus case in the country, the demand for 'masks and disinfectants' for virus protection has increased.

A large number of people rushed to pharmacies around the country, forming long queues. It was observed that the disinfectant shelves in the markets were also empty.

According to a report by Turkish Cypriot media, Yeniduzen, they were informed by some pharmacists that many people rushed to the pharmacy, especially after the announcement of the school suspension.

It is also stated that in many pharmacies, masks, disinfectants and pure alcohol are exhausted. Apart from pharmacies, there is a great demand in markets.

Some citizens were pictured wearing masks in some markets visited by Yeniduzen in Famagusta.
