Fake doctor nabbed and jailed in Lefkosa, North Cyprus

A man who introduced himself as a doctor, arranging therapy sessions and selling drugs to people has been arrested in North Cyprus and taken to court.   

The man identified as Max Nabi was arrested in Kyrenia this week following a complaint.     

The police stated that an investigation was launched on the complaint who was later found and arrested in the hotel room where he stayed in Girne. During his arrest, police found medicines in the room which were taken as exhibit.      

According to report, the man allegedly sold drugs to people while introducing himself as a doctor and  arranging therapy sessions.     

The accused has sold 7,000 Euro worth of drugs to patients with the promise that they would never be sick, said Turkish Cypriot police.     

He was taken to court and sent to prison for a period not exceeding one month until trial.
